MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Two-time Heart of America Athletic Conference Assistant Coach of the Year
Madison Reed joined the Allegheny College women's lacrosse coaching staff for the upcoming 2027 season.
Reed relocated to Tool City after a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Culver-Stockton College, an NAIA institution in Canton, Missouri. During her tenure at Culver-Stockton, the Wildcats reached the Heart of America tournament each spring and set a team record for wins in a season with eight in 2025. Reed also mentored numerous award winners, including three Heart of America Freshmen of the Year and one Defensive Player of the Year. She was voted the conference's Assistant Coach of the Year in back-to-back seasons in 2024 and 2025.
In addition to her coaching duties, Reed served on the NAIA's national tournament committee staff, assisting with logistics and operations during the national championship, attended numerous Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) conventions, oversaw the team's social media accounts, and led various academic and personal development initiatives. During her time in Missouri, Reed also coached for the St. Louis Samurai Lacrosse Club, working with athletes ages 12-18.
Before joining the coaching ranks, Reed was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse team at William Penn University, another NAIA program and member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference out of Oskaloosa, Iowa. A member of William Penn's inaugural women's lacrosse team, she was the first starting goalie in program history and finished with 476 saves over nearly 2,800 minutes of playing time. As a senior, Reed helped the Statesmen set a program record with 10 wins while posting a career-low 8.66 goals-against average.Â
The Shakopee, Minnesota, native graduated from William Penn in 2023 with a bachelor's in secondary education. She received her MBA from Culver-Stockton in May 2025.
