PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- Allegheny College women's soccer is predicted to qualify for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament for a third consecutive season in 2026.
Coaches around the PAC picked the Gators to finish fourth in the 12-team conference this fall in the annual preseason poll. Allegheny earned 90 total points, trailing only Grove City College (132), Saint Vincent College (115), and Waynesburg University (111). The Gators bested fifth-place Franciscan University by six points and beat sixth-place Chatham University by eight.
The preseason poll shows Allegheny leapfrogging the Chatham Cougars. Last season, the Gators were tied for fifth place in the standings with a 5-3-3- conference record, while Chatham came in fourth place with a 7-4-0 record against PAC opponents.
The PAC also announced its Players to Watch for the 2026 campaign. Allegheny was represented by four players: midfielders
Katherine Surdykowski (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington County Regional) and
Serena Carnahan (Plum, Pa./Plum), forward
Casey Bender (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus), and defender
Karley Johnson (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville Community). Surdykowski is a three-time All-PAC selection with back-to-back first-team nods in 2024 and 2025. Bender returns after collecting her first postseason accolade as an All-PAC Honorable Mention last season.
The Gators are scheduled to open the 2026 season on the blue turf at Robertson Athletic Complex on Tuesday, September 1, at 7 p.m.
