MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's soccer team concluded regular season play Tuesday (Oct. 28) at home against Saint Vincent, falling to the Bearcats 2-0.
 
The teams went back-and-forth in the opening 45 minutes, but neither side found the back of the net. The Gators held a slight edge in shots, 6-5, while both teams had two on target. 
Lauren Bowser (Cabot, Pa./Knoch) and 
Delaney David (Cleveland, Ohio/Brooklyn) had the attempts on target. Allegheny earned five corners in the half while not surrendering any.
 
The Bearcats broke up the scoreless game in the 59th minute as they scored on a low shot following a cross to the middle of the box. 
 
Saint Vincent added to their lead in the 73rd minute after heading in a cross.
 
The Gators had some opportunities down the stretch, but were unable to convert as they fell in their regular season finale, 2-0.
 
Inside the Box
	- Saint Vincent scored in the 59th and 73rd minutes.
 
	- David had a pair of shots on goal.
 
	- Bowser and Madeline Schneider (Poolesville, Md./Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart) also had attempts on target.
 
	- Alex Augustine (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) made seven saves.
 
	- Allegheny ended with 10 shots and seven corners while allowing just one corner.

	- The Gators finished the regular season with a 6-8-5 overall record and a 5-3-3 mark in PAC play.
 
	- Allegheny is now 2-1-2 all-time against Saint Vincent.
