TRAFFORD, Pa. – Mariah Helvy-Bruce (Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills) of the Allegheny women's track and field team earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week honors for her performance at Slippery Rock's Dave Labor Invitational.
This marks the second time Helvy-Bruce has earned honors from the conference after receiving the same accolades during the indoor season.
Helvy-Bruce ran with

Renee Tetlow (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) and
Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) in the 4x100. The group took second with a school record time of 48.53 seconds. That time also marks the fastest in the PAC this season by almost two seconds.
