West Liberty Results
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Allegheny women's track and field team competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational as well as the West Liberty Tim Weaver Invitational this past weekend.
At Carnegie Mellon,
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) had the top individual finish as she placed eighth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.46 meters.
Mariah Helvy-Bruce (Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills) finished 10th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.55.
Renee Tetlow (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) was 16th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.62 while
Samantha Oakes (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) was 16th in the steeplechase with a time of 12:35.62.
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) took 12th in the discus with a heave of 35.81 meters.
At West Liberty,
Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) carded the top finish for Gators, placing as the runner-up in the long jump with a distance of 5.62 meters. That distance is currently sixth best in Division III and the second best outdoor mark in program history. She also finished third in the triple jump with a distance of 10.60 meters.
Sophia Shiroff (Denver, Colo./Denver East) finished eighth in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 43:27.28.
Gabriella Palmer (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) was 10th in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:27.64.
