BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The Allegheny College men's golf team traded leads with Washington and Jefferson College throughout the day on Friday, but finished the third round of the 2025-26 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships with a one-stroke lead over the Presidents.

The Gators entered the spring half of the PAC Championships with a nine-stroke lead over W&J, but the Presidents posted the best team score of the day and closed the gap. Washington and Jefferson carded a cumulative 301 (+21), eight shots better than Allegheny's 309 (+29). Through three complete rounds, the Gators own a 909 (+53), while their rivals from W&J trail by just one with a 910 (+54).

Allegheny's four counting scorers still rank among the top 12 after one round at Mill Creek Golf Course's South Course. Freshman Christopher Hoffman (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) dropped one spot into a tie for third place with a 6-over 76. All three of Hoffman's birdies during Friday's action came on par 4s on the front nine. Senior Dylan Kochis (Saint Augustine, Fla./B. Reed Henderson (Pa.)) also slipped one spot on the leaderboard into sixth place. Kochis also carded a 76 (+6), but was better on the back nine with five pars and one birdie.

Sophomore Mekayl Maajid (Lahore, Pakistan/Roots Ivy International) and junior Connor Bell (Montrose, Colo./Montrose) are separated by only one stroke and one place in the standings. Maajid fired a 79 (+9) during the third round and sits in 11th place with a 232 (+18). Bell carded a 78 (+8) and is part of a four-way tie for 12th place with a 233 (+19).
