TRAFFORD, Pa. – Jayla Jones (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avonworth) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week for her performances at THE Spring Games in Florida last week.
 
In eight games, Jones hit .423 with 11 hits, six RBI and three doubles.
 
Jones tallied three multi-hit games, including a three-hit performance against John Jay, a 2025 NCAA Tournament team. She also had two hits against Alvernia and Northwestern (MN). Additionally, Jones drove in two runs against Simmons.
 
The Gators are back in action Friday (March 13) when they travel to Division II Gannon for an exhibition doubleheader.
