PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Allegheny men's track and field team continued their outdoor season with a pair of events, competing at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational as well as the West Liberty Tim Weaver Invitational this past weekend.
 
At the Carnegie Mellon event, Andre Anderson (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) put up several top marks in throwing events. His top finish came in the hammer where he placed seventh with a heave of 43.84 meters. Additionally, he placed 13th in the discus with a toss of 40.83 meters and 14th in the shot put with a distance of 13.50 meters.
 
Jonah Wells (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield Township) placed fourth in the javelin with a toss of 52.86 meters.
 
Jordan Anderson (Attica, N.Y./Attica) finished 11th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 59.29. He also placed 15th in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.65.
 
Sha'Mar Nguyen (Converse, Texas/Judson placed seventh in the 200 meter dash, crossing the finish line in 23.31.
 
Dre'on Johnson (Buffalo, N.Y./South Park) was 10th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.40 and was 11th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.18.
 
At West Liberty, Cozmo Gallegos (Chino, Calif./Chino) placed 13th in the long jump with a leap of 6.00 meters.
