TRAFFORD, Pa. -- The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced its 2026 Indoor Track and Field Pre-Championships Coaches' Poll and Athletes to Watch List on Wednesday ahead of Thursday's championship meet at Youngstown State University.
Allegheny placed among the top five teams in both the women's and men's polls.
The Gator women were voted fourth out of 12 teams with 81 points, 19 points shy of Washington and Jefferson College in third place, and four ahead of fifth-place Westminster College. Leading the way was Grove City College, which was voted No. 1 with 119 total points and nine of 12 first-place votes.
On the men's side, Allegheny and Bethany College finished in a two-way tie for fifth place. The Gators and Bison both earned 69 points in the pre-championships poll. Coaches around the league were conflicted on a potential favorite, however. Grove City was first with 115 points and five first-place votes, but in second, Geneva College earned 113 points and a conference-high six first-place votes.
Eight Gators were included on the PAC's watchlist heading into Thursday's championship at YSU's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS). The women's track and field team was represented by
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills),
Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair),
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central), and
Aubryanna Snyder (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell). From the men's team,
Andre Anderson (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill),
Tyler Biss (Beaver, Pa./Beaver),
Cole Jooste (Upper St. Clair, Pa./Upper St. Clair), and
Austin Stewart (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) were each recognized.
The 2026 PAC Indoor Track and Field Championships are scheduled to begin with field events at 10:30 a.m. Competition on the track is expected to start at approximately 3 p.m. Fans can follow along with live results found
