PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. -- Allegheny College's Andre Anderson (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) earned the first weekly award of his collegiate career on Tuesday afternoon, as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) named him the PAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Anderson posted two top-four finishes at the John Carroll University Alumni Meet on Saturday. In the weight throw, the sophomore was the runner-up at 14.69 meters. He then finished fourth in the shot put at 12.88 meters. Both of his throws were the second-best of his career, and his distance in the shot put ranks second in the PAC so far this season. His weight throw also ranks second in the conference, trailing only his personal record of 15.32 meters from the season-opener at Case Western Reserve University in December.

The men's indoor track and field team will return to action on Saturday, January 24, when the Gators travel to Ohio Wesleyan University for the OWU Team Challenge.
