TRAFFORD, Pa. – Karley Johnson (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville Community) of the Allegheny women's soccer team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Week for her performances in a pair of games last week.
 
The Gators went 1-1 last week. In a 1-0 loss against a 4-0-2 Brockport team, Johnson helped the defense limit the Golden Eagles to just eight shots in the contest. In a 6-0 Blue & Gold Weekend victory against Carlow, the Gator defense allowed just two shots. Additionally, Johnson assisted on a goal off her corner kick.
 
Allegheny opens PAC play Wednesday (Sept. 24) against Chatham.
