TRAFFORD, Pa. – Cadan Bennett (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) of the Allegheny men's soccer team was honored by the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) as the Defensive Player of the Week for his performances during the team's opening weekend.
 
Bennett helped the Gators earn a pair of 1-1 draws to start the season. Allegheny began their season on the road at Penn State Behrend. The sophomore goalkeeper made three stops. The Gators played Carnegie Mellon to a draw to conclude the weekend. Bennett made six saves in the contest.
 
The Gators are back in action Wednesday (Sept. 3) when they travel to Alfred State.
