MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's soccer team played host to Saint Francis Saturday (Sept. 26), defeating the Red Wolves 7-2.
Allegheny scored six of their goals in the opening half.
The Gators wasted no time getting on the board. In the fourth minute,
Ben Keefer (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) sent a long pass up the field to
Nick Magee (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township). Magee got past the backline. His shot went off the charging goalie and rolled into the back of the net. The goal marked his third of the season.
Just minutes later, the Gators struck again. This time Magee set-up
Will Gruca (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) for a close ranged goal. It was his fifth of the year.
Magee scored his second goal of the game in the 13th minute. Gruca sent a corner kick to
Billy Sprott (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) on the far post. Sprott headed it over to Magee, who put a quick foot on the ball for the score.
In the 27th minute,
Cole Bowser (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) crossed the ball in front of the net to
Cooper Euziere (Melbourne, Fla./Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy), who buried it for his second goal of the year.
The Gators added two more goals in the half.
Arthur Every (Cranleigh, United Kingdom/Glebelands Secondary) scored in the 35th minute off an assist by
Miguel Narbona (Cádiz, Spain/Broughton (N.C.)). Narbona then found the back of the net a minute later, assisted by
Jed Smith (Easton, Md./Easton).
The Red Wolves got on the board in the 56th minute as they headed in a ball off the crossbar. They added one more in the 76th minute.
In the final minute, Bowser scored off an assist from
Brian Ankamah (Gahanna, Ohio/Columbus Academy) to seal the win.

- This marked the first match between the two programs.
- Saint Francis joined the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) this season after being a NCAA Division I institute, but are currently not eligible for the PAC Championships.
- The seven goals were the most for the Gators in a game since they scored nine against La Roche in 2021.
- Magee scored his eighth and ninth career goals and had his third assist.
- Gruca scored his 23rd career goal and had his 19th assist.
- Bowser has his eighth career goal. Every had his fourth and Narbona had his second.
