PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- Coming off its winningest season in a decade, the Allegheny College women's soccer team was voted third in the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preseason Poll.
Coaches from around the PAC predicted that the Gators, who posted a 12-7-1 overall record and reached the PAC semifinals last fall, will place third in the conference for the second year in a row. It's the highest Allegheny has finished in a conference preseason poll since being picked as the runner-up in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) ahead of the 2015 campaign.
With 96 total points, the Gators edged fourth-place Saint Vincent College by a single point. The defending PAC champions from Grove City College paced the conference with 116 points and eight first-place votes, followed by Westminster College with 105 points and three first-place votes. The remaining first-place vote went to Waynesburg University, which placed fifth with 76 points.
In addition to the coaches' poll, the PAC released its Players to Watch list on Tuesday, which included five Gators. Allegheny's three returning All-PAC selections – midfielders
Katherine Surdykowski (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington County Regional) and
Madeline Schneider (Poolesville, Md./Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart), and defender
Emma Milligan (Parkesburg, Pa./Octorara) – headlined the group. They are joined by juniors
Delaney David (Cleveland, Ohio/Brooklyn), a forward, and
Karley Johnson (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville Community), a defender.
The Allegheny women's soccer team will begin the 2025 season with a non-conference matchup against Capital University on Friday, August 29, at 5:00 p.m. on the blue turf at the Robertson Athletic Complex.
