USTFCCCA Release
NEW ORLEANS -- Allegheny College track and field collected numerous academic awards from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as announced on Monday afternoon.
Both teams were recognized as All-Academic Teams, which requires a cumulative GPA of at least 3.10. Allegheny was one of 165 Division III institutions and one of only five Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) members to have both its men's and women's teams recognized.
Additionally, the USTFCCCA highlighted six Gators as All-Academic Athletes:
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills),
Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford),
Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora),
Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton),
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central), and
Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown). Davis and Inkley were named All-Academic Athletes for the second time in as many years.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and meet one of the following athletic criteria:
- Must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.
- Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who participated in the relay at the Indoor OR Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.
Davis ended the outdoor season ranked 19th nationally in the hammer throw. Bonson was 21st in the 5,000-meter race. Both represented the Gators at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute in May. Bawek narrowly missed a national championship berth in 25th place in the javelin throw. Inkley ranked 44th in the country in the pole vault. During the indoor portion of the season, Bonson, Cocca, and Stafford were part of the distance medley relay team that set a program record and ranked 24th nationally.
