MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny College softball team had five student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors for their performances in the classroom and on the field during the 2025 season.
Aleya Belardinelli (Melbourne, Fla./West Shore),
Olivia Devries (Kent, Ohio/Field),
Samantha Dzierba (Colden, N.Y./Orchard Park),
Sofia Genareo (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) and
Madison Hulse (San Diego, Calif./Rancho Bernardo) earned the honor.
For Belardinelli and Dzierba, this marks their third straight year earning the honor. For Devries, this marks her second straight season. Genareo also earned the honor in basketball this past season.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in June.
