ITHACA, N.Y. -- Allegheny College women's track and field set a new school record while competing at the 2025 All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships on Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8.
Inside Ithaca College's Glazer Arena, the distance medley relay team of
Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown),
Logan Wagner (Woodville, Ohio/Oak Harbor),
Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora), and
Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford) broke a 10-year-old Allegheny record. The Gator quartet placed fourth overall with a time of 12:05.37, more than six seconds faster than the previous mark held by Alyssa Brindle, Natalie Corrado, Alexis Preston, and Marisa Brown from 2015 (12:11.52).
Also on Friday,
Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) and
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) finished ninth and 12th, respectively, in the long jump and pole vault.
Bonson and Stafford ran again on Saturday afternoon, this time in the 3,000-meter run. Bonson won the event, placing first out of 28 distance runners with a personal-record time of 10:02.70. Her time ranks fifth in program history and is nearly five seconds better than her time from the 2025 SPIRE Collegiate Indoor Games on February 15. Stafford also set a new PR by more than nine seconds after crossing the finish line in sixth place at 10:18.35.
As a team, Allegheny tied for 12th place in the AARTFC standings with 18 points despite its limited participation.
