PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. -- For the second time this season, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) has recognized Kristian Janci (Kysucké Nové Mesto, Slovakia/The British International School Shanghai) with weekly honors.

Janci was chosen as the PAC Player of the Week after earning two wins against the University of Rochester on Saturday afternoon. He was previously named the conference's Newcomer of the Week on March 10.

Against the Yellowjackets, Janci earned a pair of wins while playing at the top of the Allegheny lineup. Alongside doubles teammate Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet), the No. 1 Gator duo defeated Rochester's Alan Wang and Surya Rajamani in a 6-0 shutout. In his singles contest against Krish Vennam, the No. 16-ranked player in the Northeast Region, Janci won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Allegheny's upcoming schedule features three matches on the road in Ohio this weekend. On Saturday, March 29, the Gators will visit Ohio Wesleyan University at 11:00 a.m. and Otterbein University at 4:00 p.m. On Sunday, March 30, the weekend excursion concludes at Baldwin Wallace University at 12:00 p.m.
