INDIANA, Pa. – The Allegheny women's track and field team began their 2025 outdoor season at the IUP Ed Fry Invitational Saturday (March 22).
Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) finished as the runner-up in the hammer throw with a heave of 44.26 meters.
Elizabeth Lubold (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area) also earned a runner-up finish, taking second in the javelin with a throw of 37.55 meters. The Gators had four top-eight finishes in the event with
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) taking third at 36.34 meters while
Elyse Lenhart (New Castle, Pa./Shenango) was fifth and
Meagan Robare (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) was seventh.
Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) carded a second place finish in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:31.85.
Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford) was fourth in the 1,500 meter run, clocking in at a personal best time 4:49.49.
Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) placed third in the shot put with a toss of 11.76 meters.
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) was sixth in the event with a mark of 10.72 meters.
