USTFCCCA Release
NEW ORLEANS – The Allegheny women's track and field team had four members earn United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honors.
Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford),
Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora),
Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown) and
Logan Wagner (Woodville, Ohio/Oak Harbor) brought home the honors.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.
Bonson garnered two spots on the All-Region Team. Individually, she earned a spot for the 3,000 meter run. The junior won the event at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships with a time of 10:02.60. That time was the fifth best in program history and a personal best for her.
Cocca, Stafford, Wagner and Bonson were also named All-Region for the Distance Medley Relay. The quartet placed fourth overall at the AARTFC Championships with a time of 12:05.37, an Allegheny program record by six seconds.
