PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- For the third time this season,
Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock) was crowned the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Field Athlete of the Week.
Moon paced the men's track and field team with two wins and a third-place performance on Friday night at Oberlin College's Dan Kinsey Invitational.
In the field events, the standout senior won the long jump at 6.88 meters. It's his third-best mark of the season and would rank atop the conference behind only his 6.91-meter jump at Houghton University on January 25 and his personal record of 7.02 meters at Case Western Reserve University on December 7. Moon also placed third in the pole vault at 3.80 meters.
On the track, Moon won the 60-meter dash with a season-best time of 7.14 meters. He was first out of 33 total sprinters in the race. He was the only runner below 7.20 seconds and one of only two with a sub-7.30-second time.
Moon and the Gators have one more meet before this year's PAC Indoor Championships. On Saturday, February 15, Allegheny will travel to Geneva, Ohio, to compete in the SPIRE Collegiate Indoor Games.
