BEREA, Ohio -- The Allegheny College men's track and field team competed against four Ohio area programs at the 2025 Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University inside the Lou Higgins Center on Saturday.

The Gators participated in a dozen events, placing five individuals inside the top five while running all three relay races. 

Second-year sprinter Austin Stewart (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) represented Allegheny in two relays. Not only did he run in the 4x200- and 4x400-meter relays, Stewart posted his second-best 200-meter dash of the season. His time of 23.19 seconds was the third-best out of 18.

Distance specialists Zack Wyse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and Cole Jooste (Upper Saint Clair, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) placed fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 800-meter run and one-mile race. In the third heat of the 800m, Wyse edged Isaak Keller of BWU by one-hundredth of a second with a time of 2:04.67. Fellow distance runner Desmond Corrado (Crafton, Pa./Carlynton) set a new personal record in the 3,000-meter race after placing eighth overall at 9:22.84.

Senior standout Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock) logged a PR and another All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifier. Moon, the runner-up in the long jump, cleared 6.86 meters on his fifth attempt. One of three to hit 1.91 meters in the high jump, Moon was credited with a fifth-place finish.

Second-year pole vaulter Grant Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney Area) set a season-best mark at Baldwin Wallace. Miller, who placed fourth in the event, surpassed 3.95 meters on his second jump.
