MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's swimming team hosted Penn State Behrend in their final competition of the 2025 calendar year Saturday (Dec. 6).
The Lions won the dual meet 154-106, though the Gators had first-place finishes in six events.
Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) had two first-place finishes for the Gators. She captured both butterfly events, winning the 50 with a time of 29.22 and the 100 with a time of 1:05.59.
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) won the 50 breaststroke with a time of 33.80. She also took second in the 100 individual medley.
Magnolia Myers (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Our Lady of the Elms) was the first to touch the wall in the 100 individual medley with a time of 1:09.31. She was also second in the 50 butterfly.
Miranda Fanning (Tiffin, Ohio/Columbian) also had an individual first-place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:19.28.
Emily Arendas (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) had second place finishes in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Olivia Johnson (Trafford, Pa./Penn-Trafford) was second in the 1,000 freestyle while
Grace Melocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) was second in the 100 breaststroke.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Reiter, Arendas, Melocchi and Kohler won with a time of 1:51.72.
