PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's swimming and diving team concluded the 2025-26 season with six All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) awards, as announced by the conference office on Friday.
Allegheny earned the third-most All-PAC selections, trailing only the conference champions from Grove City College (19) and the runners-up from Saint Vincent College (8). Leading the way for the Gators was senior
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) on the first team, while senior
Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) and first-year
Grace Melocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) were included on the second team.
Reiter received All-PAC First Team honors for the third time in her storied career in the pool. At the 2026 PAC Championships, the Pittsburgh native collected one silver and four bronze medals. Reiter swam in the "A" finals in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke races, placing second in the former and third in the latter. Her time of 1:07.54 in the 100-yard race was the best of her Gator career. In the relay events, Reiter helped the 200-yard freestyle and both medley teams finish in third place.
For the third consecutive season, Kohler was named to the All-PAC Second Team. In addition to joining Reiter on Allegheny's three third-place relay teams, she qualified for the "A" finals in both the 100- and 200-yard butterfly. Kohler won bronze in the 100-yard fly, as her time of 1:00.90 was a mere six-hundredths of a second shy of second place. Her sixth-place performance in the 200-yard fly was also decided by fractions of a second; she was 13-hundredths of a second behind fifth and 18-hundredths ahead of seventh.
In her first season with the Blue and Gold, Melocchi was included on the All-PAC Second Team. The Pittsburgh product placed fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke and 400-yard individual medley. She was approximately six seconds behind Reiter in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.25. In the 400-yard IM, Melocchi touched the wall in 5:03.29. As a member of Allegheny's 800-yard freestyle relay team, she earned another fifth-place finish. Melocchi swam the final leg of the race in 2:07.22, the best on the team by more than seven seconds.
A trio of sophomores –
Magnolia Myers (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Our Lady of the Elms),
Kerrigan Swartz (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area), and
Emily Arendas (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) – were named All-PAC Honorable Mentions.
Myers led off both the 200- and 400-yard medley relay teams, earning bronze in both. Individually, she swam in three "B" finals in the 100-yard butterfly, 100-yard backstroke, and 200-yard backstroke. Her best finish was ninth in the butterfly with a time of 1:03.45.
A key member of Allegheny's relay quartets, Swartz garnered All-PAC Honorable Mention accolades for the second time in as many years. She swam the final leg of the medley relays, helping the Blue and Gold place third in both. She was also the second Gator in the water for the third-place 200-yard freestyle relay. Individually, Swartz took seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:13.63. In addition to her All-PAC award, Swartz was Allegheny's representative on the PAC Sportsmanship Team. The PAC Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior, and are an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all PAC teams.
Arendas also earned her second honorable mention award in her second season with the Gators. She qualified for the "A" finals in the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard freestyle, earning sixth and eighth, respectively. She was the fourth member of the freestyle relay teams along with Reiter, Kohler, and Swartz.
