GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Allegheny women's swimming team swam in a pair of events to start the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships Wednesday (Feb. 18) at Grove City.
Allegheny opened competition by competing in the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay.
In the 200 medley relay, the Gator squad of
Magnolia Myers (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Our Lady of the Elms),
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA),
Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) and
Kerrigan Swartz (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area) finished third with a time of 1:54.23. The Gators also earned points with an 11th place finish in the event by
Emily Arendas (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin),
Grace Melocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler),
Olivia Johnson (Trafford, Pa./Penn-Trafford) and
Grace Wilson (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) with a time of 2:02.07.
The night ended with the 800 freestyle relay. Johnson,
Miranda Fanning (Tiffin, Ohio/Columbian),
Avery Faller (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area) and Melocchi placed fifth with a time of 8:54.98.
