GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Allegheny women's swimming team closed out competition at the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, hosted by Grove City, Saturday (Feb. 21).
The Gators finished the four day competition in fourth place, earning 410 points. Grove City captured the team title with 1,153 points.
The first event of the final day was the 1,650 freestyle.
Olivia Johnson (Trafford, Pa./Penn-Trafford) had the top finish for the Gators, taking ninth with a time of 20:18.87.
Miranda Fanning (Tiffin, Ohio/Columbian) was not far behind, finishing in 10th with a time of 20:36.93.
Avery Faller (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area) rounded out the trio of Gators competing in the event, clocking in at 21:26.30, placing 11th.
Magnolia Myers (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Our Lady of the Elms) raced in the B Finals of the 200 backstroke. She placed 12th overall with a time of 2:25.57.
Emily Arendas (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) also swam in an A Final, competing in the 100 freestyle. Arendas swam a career best time of 56.93 to take eighth.
Kerrigan Swartz (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area) was in the B Finals of the event, taking 10th with a time of 57.57.
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) and
Grace Melocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) qualified for the A Finals of the 200 breaststroke. Reiter carded another strong finish at the championships, placing third with a time of 2:30.28. During the prelims, she cracked the program's top ten times at 2:29.66. Melocchi also had a solid finish, placing fifth with a time of 2:36.25.
Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) earned a spot in the A Finals of the 200 butterfly. She swam a career best time of 2:19.43 to take sixth.
The championships ended with the 400 freestyle relay. The team of Swartz, Arendas, Reiter and Kohler placed fourth with a time of 3:51.11. Additionally, the Gator quad of Myers, Melocchi, Fanning and Johnson took 11th with a time of 3:56.75)

The PAC also recognized Swartz for being selected to the PAC Sportsmanship Team. The PAC Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior, and are an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all PAC teams and student-athletes.
