FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Allegheny women's swimming team competed at the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational Friday-Saturday (Nov. 21-23).
 
The Gators scored 696 points to finish the three day event in fifth place.
 
Alongside the host Blue Devils, the Gators competed against Brockport, Hartwick, Pitt Bradford, Penn State Behrend and Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Saint Vincent at the event. Brockport won the event with 2,033 points.
 
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) registered the top placement for the Gators. She finished as the runner-up in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.16. The senior also took third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:30.32.
 
Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) also had a pair of top-four finishes. She placed third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.54 and fourth in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:20.10.
 
Grace Melocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) had a pair of top-eight individual finishes. Her top finish was in the 200 breaststroke, finishing fifth with a time of 2:35.17. She took sixth-place in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:57.31. Additionally, she was 12th in the 500 freestyle.
 
Emily Arendas (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) had a top-eight placement in the 100 breaststroke, taking sixth with a time of 1:13.04. She also was tenth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 58:17 and 17th in the 50 freestyle.
 
Kerrigan Swartz (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area) had two eighth-place finishes in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes with times of 1:13.64 and 2:40.48).
 
Magnolia Myers (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Our Lady of the Elms) was 16th in the 100 and 200 backstrokes as well as the 100 butterfly.
 
Olivia Johnson (Trafford, Pa./Penn-Trafford) took 13th in the 1,650 freestyle, 15th in the 200 freestyle, and 21st in the 500 freestyle. Grace Wilson (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) was 21st in the 50 freestyle and 21st in the 100 freestyle. Miranda Fanning (Tiffin, Ohio/Columbian) was 15th in the 1,650 freestyle and 16th in the 200 freestyle while Avery Faller (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area) was 20th in the 200 freestyle and 23rd in the 100 freestyle.
 
Myers, Reiter, Kohler and Swartz teamed up to take fifth in the 200 medley relay and sixth in the 400 medley relay. Swartz, Arendas, Kohler and Reiter were sixth in the 200 freestyle relay and 10th in the 400 freestyle relay.
 
Melocchi, Swartz, Kohler and Reiter placed eighth in the 800 freestyle relay. Myers, Wilson, Johnson and Fanning were 12th in the 200 freestyle relay while Melocchi, Myers, Johnson and Ryann Fishel (Cleveland, Ohio/Beaumont School) were 12th in the 400 freestyle relay.
