MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's swimming team hosted Pitt Bradford and Franciscan in a tri-meet Saturday (Nov. 15), sweeping the competition.
 
The Gators defeated Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Fransican 122-60 and Pitt Bradford 135-43. Overall, the Gators won eight races.
 
Six different individuals won races. Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) won the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.49 while taking second in the 100 freestyle. Kerrigan Swartz (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area) took the 200 freestyle, touching the wall at 2:08.45.
 
Emily Arendas (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) captured first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:08.67 while Magnolia Myers (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Our Lady of the Elms) was first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:08.64.
 
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) won the 100 breaststroke at 1:12.55 while Grace Melocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) won the 400 individual medley with a time of 5:04.62 to round out the individual winners.
 
The 200 medley relay team of Kohler, Arendas, Melocchi and Swartz opened the event with a win, finishing with a time of 2:00.40. The 200 freestyle squad of Kohler, Arendas, Myers and Swartz closed the meet with a winning time of 1:49.20.
