PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- Allegheny College freshman
Tyler Biss (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Cross Country Newcomer of the Week following his performance at Gettyburg College's Aubrey Shenk Invitational.
In a race with more than 30 teams and over 300 participants, Biss led the Gators to an 11th-place finish as a team with his best eight-kilometer race of the season. He placed 24th out of 316 total runners with a time of 25:49.0. He set a new personal record by shaving nearly three minutes off his time from the Ben Mourer '07 Memorial Classic on September 20.
Among current collegiate student-athletes at the race, Biss was the second-fastest freshman at Gettysburg, trailing only Carlos Cheruiyot from Division I Saint Francis University.Â
The Aubrey Shenk Invitational was Allegheny's last regular-season race before the 2025 PAC Championships. The Gators will host the conference championship meet on Saturday, November 1, at the Robertson Athletic Complex.
