LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Allegheny College men's cross country team concluded the 2025 season at the 2025 Great Lakes Regional Championships, hosted by Spalding University Saturday at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

Saturday's regional championship featured a deep field with nearly 40 teams and 300 runners. Allegheny finished in 29th place with 860 points, edging Ohio Wesleyan University in 30th by 18 points. Hope College, which had seven runners inside the top 20, earned the Great Lakes title with a mere 53 points.

Senior Caleb Freeman (Killingworth, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) ended his cross country career on a high note, placing inside the top 100 in the region for a second consecutive season. Freeman led all Gators in 89th place out of 272 finishers at 26:41.18. He was less than five seconds shy of his time from last year's regional race at the Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville, Indiana, but shaved more than 55 seconds off his time from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships.

Freshman Tyler Biss (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) was the next Gator to complete the eight-kilometer race. His time of 27:25.15 marked his second-best of the year. Biss, who placed 134th, cut more than 40 seconds off his time from the PAC Championships.
