TRAFFORD, Pa. – Allegheny men's cross country student-athlete Max Bambeck (Dover, Ohio/Dover) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week for his performance at the Ben Mourer '07 Classic.
 
Bambeck finished 25th in the 44 runner 8k race with a time of 30:47.6. His time was second best for the Gators.
 
The Gators will compete at Youngstown State's Collegiate Invitational at the Mill Creek Metroparks Cross Country Course in Canfield, Ohio, on Saturday (Sept. 26).
