HIRAM, Ohio – The Allegheny men's swimming team opened their 2025-26 campaign on the road at Hiram Saturday (Oct. 18).
 
The Gators fell to the Terriers 144.5-58.4 though the team won four races.
 
Sam Kohler (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avonworth) won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:04.68.
 
Christian Habusta (Erie, Pa./Fairview) tied for the win in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.44.
 
Ryan Owen (Weirton, W. Va./Weir) was victorious in the 800 freestyle with a time of 10:55.85.
 
In the final race of the afternoon, Owen, Habusta, Oscar Zúñiga (San Luis Potosi, Mexico/Instituto Potosino Marista) and Kohler teamed up to the win 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:58.33.
