GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Allegheny men's swimming team concluded competition at the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, hosted by Grove City, Saturday (Feb. 21).
The Gators finished the four day competition in seventh place, earning 150 points. Grove City captured the team title with 1,063 points.
Sam Kohler (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avonworth) started the evening for the Gators in the 1,650 freestyle. He completed the event in a career best time of 17:34.63 to earn an eighth place finish.
Christian Habusta (Erie, Pa./Fairview) competed in the B Finals of the 100 freestyle. He placed 14th with a time of 52.2.
Ryan Owen (Weirton, W. Va./Weir) swam in the B Finals of the 200 breaststroke. Finishing with a time of 2:24.74, he finished in 11th.
The championships ended with the 400 freestyle relay. Owen, Habusta and Kohler were joined by
Oscar Zúñiga (San Luis Potosi, Mexico/Instituto Potosino Marista), taking seventh with a time of 3:38.28.

The PAC also recognized Zúñiga for being selected to the PAC Sportsmanship Team. The PAC Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior, and are an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all PAC teams and student-athletes.
