MEADVILLE, Pa. – Vital Joseph II (Humble, Texas/Summer Creek) and Carson Messemer (Schenectady, N.Y./Schalmont) were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their performances in and out of the classroom this past season.
 
For Messemer, this marked the third straight season he has earned the award. For Joseph, this marked the second time achieving the honor.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, and have played in at least 90 percent or started in 66 percent of the team's competitions throughout the season.
 
Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced later in January.
