MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's swimming team celebrated Senior Day Saturday (Jan. 18) by hosting Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Washington and Jefferson.
 
The Presidents won 164-46 but the Gators captured three individual races.
 
Before the meet, the Gators honored senior Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights).
 
Malnar won two of the three races for the Gators, taking the 100 and 200 freestyles. He won the 100 with a time of 51.72 and the 200 with a time of 1:56.52.
 
Sam Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) had the third individual win, taking the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:18.40.
 
Emmet Fluharty (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) was second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.16 as well as the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.08.
 
The 400 freestyle team of Fluharty, Kohler, Malnar and Miguel Orti Vila (Málaga, Spain/Cheam) was second with a time of 3:32.83 while the 200 medley team of Malnar, Fluharty, Kohler and Christian Habusta (Erie, Pa./Fairview) finished in third.
