NEW ORLEANS -- The Allegheny College track and field teams earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team accolades while a pair of individuals earned honors from the organization.

The cumulative team grade-point average of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester to be eligible for the All-Academic Team award.

The Allegheny women earned a 3.67 GPA, while the men had a 3.19 GPA.

Individually,
Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) and
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) were named as All-Academic Athletes.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards: Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship; or finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List. Davis finished top-25 nationally in the hammer throw in the spring and top-50 in the weight throw during the indoor season while Inkley was top-45 in the pole vault for the outdoor season.
