NABC Release
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) named four members of the Allegheny College men's basketball team to the NABC Honors Court for the 2023-24 academic year.
The Honors Court includes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2023-24 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The NABC recognized over 2,100 players from all levels of college basketball this year.
Three Allegheny seniors,
Holden Phillips (Broadlands, Va. Briar Wood),
Preston Turk (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock), and
Trey Williams (Hudson, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy), earned NABC Honors Court awards for the second consecutive season. They were joined by junior
Luke Barker (New Castle, Pa./Struthers (Ohio)).
It's not the first time the Allegheny quartet earned academic awards this year. Phillips, Turk, and Williams were named to the
Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Spring Academic Honor Roll, while Turk and Barker were both selected to the
College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
