MEADVILLE, Pa. – Luke Barker (New Castle, Pa./Struthers (Ohio)) and Preston Turk (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) of the Allegheny men's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their performances both in the classroom and on the court this past season.
 
For Turk, this marks his second straight year earning the honor.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, and have played in at least 90 percent or started in 66 percent of the team's competitions throughout the season.
 
Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in April.
