PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- Allegheny College men's basketball earned two postseason awards from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), as announced by the PAC Sports Network during its annual awards show on Wednesday night.
First-year forward
Pijus Latauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania/Kiski Prep (Pa.)) made history as the first-ever Gator to be crowned a conference Newcomer of the Year as the top freshman in the PAC in 2025-26. Senior guard
Ryan Lang (Sarver, Pa./Knoch) was also honored as a member of the All-PAC Second Team.
A seven-time PAC Newcomer of the Week, Latauskas' year-end award was a foregone conclusion; no other student-athlete in the conference won the award more than once in 2025-26. The 6-foot-8 Lithuanian native started all 26 games in his debut season. He finished second on the team and 15th in the conference with 13.8 points per game. Latauskas also logged a team-high 22 blocks and was seventh among qualified shooters from the free-throw line at 73.6%. His impact on the Gator lineup was felt immediately, as Latauskas reached double figures in his first six games, including a 25-point, 10-rebound double-double against Geneva College on December 6. He also impressed with a 26-point effort against Muskingum University and a season-best 29-point outing against Carnegie Mellon University in back-to-back games in mid-December.
Lang was voted to an All-PAC team for the first time in his career with the Gators. The fourth-year standout capped off his senior year ranked among the top players in the conference in several categories. He finished fourth in assists per game (3.6), eighth in rebounding (6.7), ninth in field-goal percentage (45.8%), and 10th in points per game (14.8). He posted single-season career-highs across the board with 385 points, 175 rebounds, 93 assists, and 23 steals in 2025-26. Lang scored double-digit points in 23 of 26 games with five 20-point performances and three double-doubles. He poured in a season-high 27 points against Grove City College on February 11. One of the most prolific scorers in program history, Lang will graduate fifth all-time with 1,451 points.
In addition to his All-PAC Second Team award, Lang was also Allegheny's representative on the PAC Sportsmanship Team. The PAC Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior, and are an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all PAC teams.
