TRAFFORD, Pa. – Allegheny men's basketball's Pijus Latauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania/Kiski Prep (Pa.)) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week for the seventh time this season.
 
Latauskas averaged 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in a pair of contests last week.
 
In the Gators' win against Thiel, Latauskas scored 18 points with four rebounds, a block and a steal. On the road against Hiram, Latauskas added six rebounds, five points and two steals. 
 
For the regular season, Latauskas averaged 13.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
 
After earning the second seed in the PAC North Division, the Gators will host Franciscan, the third seed in the South Division, Tuesday (Feb. 24) at 8 pm.
