MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's track and field team competed in their annual Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational Thursday (May 9).
Peter Lantz (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) claimed victory in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. His time of 9:55.15 is his second-best time of the season.
Sean Heintzleman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Winchester Thurston) was victorious in the 5,000 meter run, taking the win in 16:20.70.
Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock) carded a second place finish in the long jump with a leap of 7.06 meters. It was his second best outing of the season.
Carter Betz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood) also had a second-place showing, finishing runner-up in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.58 seconds.
The Gators closed the evening by running the 4x400 meter relay. The team of
Joe McAuliffe (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson), Lantz,
Xavier Grove (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) and
Zack Wyse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) finished the event in 3:41.26.
