MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Two student-athletes from the Allegheny College women's tennis team earned Academic All-District honors, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), for their performances on the court and in the classroom.
Junior
Sabrina Rodriguez (Kissimmee, Fla./Professional and Technical), who was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second year in a row, and sophomore
Maria Lounder (Pittsburgh, Pa./Moon Area) were both recognized.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and be in the lineup for 70% of the team's dual matches.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 4.
