Full PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Sybi Gerhart (Denver, Pa./Caclico) and Lauren Petrarca (Simi Valley, Calif./Royal) of the Allegheny women's lacrosse team earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player and Midfielder of the Week honors, respectively, for their performances in a win against Fredonia last week.
 
The duo propelled the Gators to a 14-8 nonconference victory on Wednesday (March 20).
 
Gerhart caused a season-high five turnovers in the win. She also picked up three groundballs. For the season, Gerhart has 12 groundballs and eight caused turnovers.
 
Petrarca led the offense in the game with six goals. Additionally, Petrarca had three draw controls and two groundballs. For the year, Petrarca has tallied 25 goals with 18 draw controls.
 
The Gators are back in action Saturday (March 30) as they open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play against defending champion Washington and Jefferson at noon.
