USTFCCCA Release

NEW ORLEANS -- The Allegheny College men's cross country team was recognized by the US. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for excellence in the classroom with a 2023 All-Academic Team award.

Allegheny was one of 194 Division III men's cross country programs and one of six from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) honored with an All-Academic Team award this season.

In order to qualify, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. As a team, the Gators produced a 3.34 cumulative GPA in the fall semester.

Under the direction of Allegheny alumnus Ben Mourer '07, the Gators finished third out of 10 scoring teams at the 2023 PAC Championships. Four were named All-PAC and six were included on the PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
