Miller Receives United Soccer Coaches All-Region Accolades

2024 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --
For the first time in a decade, a member of the Allegheny College women's soccer team received all-region accolades from the United Soccer Coaches.

On Monday, the association announced that Allegheny senior Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) was named to the All-Region VII First Team following her record-breaking season this fall. Miller is the first Gator to receive an all-region nod since the trio of Jessie Thiessen '17, Jaymee Wallace '15, and Hannah Zangara '16 were all selected in 2014.

Miller, the 2024 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Year, put together a historical senior season. She ranks among national leaders in nearly every scoring category and is second in the country in goals (27), third in points per game (3.30), fourth in points (66), fifth in goals per game (1.35), 10th in game-winning goals (6), 18th in assists (12), and 24th in assists per game (0.60). Her 66 points set a new Allegheny single-season record, breaking the previous record of 64 set twice by Hall of Famer Nellie Springer Kraus '89 in 1985 and 1986, while her 27 goals were one shy of the all-time mark. Miller also broke the team record for points in a game with 11 (4g-3a) in an 11-0 rout of Thiel College on October 26.

Not only did Miller score in bunches, but she led the Gators to their first postseason berth since 2014 as the No. 3 seed in the PAC Championship Tournament. She then scored twice in a 3-1 quarterfinal win over Waynesburg University at the Robertson Athletic Complex on November 2, the team's first playoff win in a decade.

Miller, a standout multi-sport student-athlete who has won multiple PAC shot put championships, will graduate fourth in program history in career goals (41) and fifth in points (97).
