PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. – Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock) of the Allegheny men's track and field team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Spartan Alumni Meet, hosted by Case Western Reserve.
This marks the third PAC weekly honor of his career.
Moon, who set indoor and outdoor school records in the long jump last year, opened the season by breaking his own indoor long jump record. Jumping 7.02 meters, Moon claimed first-place in the event. That distance is currently the 14th best in Division III. The senior also placed eighth in the high jump (1.85 meters) and the 60-meter hurdles (9.37) as well as 12th in the 60-meter dash (7.20 seconds).
The Gators are off until Jan. 18 when they compete at the Wooster Invitational.
