PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. -- Allegheny College midfielder Madeline Schneider (Poolesville, Md./Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart) was recognized as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week for her performance in the Gators' win over Saint Vincent College in the 2024 regular-season finale.

Schneider scored the first goal of Allegheny's 4-2 victory over the Bearcats on the road on Wednesday night. It was her ninth goal of the season, third-most on the team and tied for the second-most by a first year in the PAC this fall.

With the win, the Gators secured the No. 3 seed for the PAC Championship Tournament, their first postseason bid in a decade.

Following their quarterfinal victory over Waynesburg University on Saturday - the team's first playoff win on their home pitch since the fall of 2014 - the third-seeded Gators will travel to No. 2 Grove City College for the semifinals on Wednesday, November 6. Kick off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
