PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's swimming and diving team was picked sixth in the 2024-25 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preseason Poll, announced by the conference office on Friday.
The Gators, who also placed sixth during the 2024 PAC Championships, earned 47 points in the preseason poll. Allegheny finished just below fifth-place Franciscan University (52) and four points ahead of Chatham University (43).
Grove City College, winners of five consecutive PAC titles, was once again selected as the favorite in the ranking with seven first-place votes and 77 total points.
After earning All-PAC honors last winter, three Allegheny student-athletes were recognized as Swimmers to Watch for the upcoming season. Three-time PAC breaststroke champion
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) headlines the trio, which includes senior
Katya Pryshchenko (Berwyn, Pa./Aim Academy) and junior
Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth).
Allegheny opens the 2024-25 campaign on Saturday, October 5, with a home tri-meet against Franciscan and Hiram College at 1:00 p.m.
