PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Allegheny men's swimming team picked up an 85-49 win on the road at Chatham Saturday (Oct. 19).
 
The Gators claimed victory in eight events.
 
Emmet Fluharty (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) won three of the events for the Gators. His wins came in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:52.48, the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:10.29 and the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:44.63. 
 
Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) won a pair of sprints, taking the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.91 and the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.02.  
 
Sam Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) also picked up a couple of wins. The two wins both came in freestyle events, winning the 200 with a time of 1:58.43 and the 500 with a time of 5:21.66.
 
Eleano Barone (Johnstown, Pa./Palmyra Area) rounded out the wins for Allegheny, claiming first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:28.82.
