ERIE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's swimming team was on the road for the first time this season, traveling to Penn State Behrend Saturday (Oct. 12).
 
Allegheny fell to the Lions 189-41.
 
Sam Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) won the lone individual event for the Gators. His victory came in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:18.98.
 
The Gators ended the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle medley. The team of Kohler, Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights), Emmet Fluharty (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) and Eleano Barone (Johnstown, Pa./Palmyra Area) finished with a time of 3:35.10.
